Sustainable Building Policies & Measures

An initiative of the IEA Task Force Sustainable Building
And iiSBE, the International Initiative for a Sustainable Built Environment
And a follow up of the 1997 European ministers conference
requestfor such a framework.

• Belgium has confirmed interest to participate in the Network.
• Poland has signed the Letter of Intent
• Those who did not yet sign a letter of intent, please inform me of the status of the project.
• Some countries have requested to go over the budget for co-ordination again, since it was seen as a little high. Due to the hosting by iiSBE, where a useful database system will be already available, some major saving could be calculated. Together with some smaller changes, the participating fee will be about 9500 Euro, with 10 countries participating. See the enclosed revised proposal for the details
• as requested during the meeting in Paris, the kind of information is more specified. See the enclosed revised proposal.
• Formats for the information to provide by the participating countries are in preparation.
• Launching date is planned for January 1 2002, provided enough countries participate. We are still awaiting some letters of Intent.

We will keep you informed.
